Create Device

Adding a device is easy! You'll need a GitHub account to create a new file, but the way it works is:

  1. Click the button for the type of device you want to add.
  2. Fill out the form.
  3. Click the button at the bottom.
  4. You'll be taken to GitHub to make the new file, where you'll click green buttons until it's submitted. but specifically...
    1. You'll need to log in (if you haven't already).
    2. You'll be asked to fork the repo (if you haven't already).
    3. You'll be taken to a page with the file you're adding.
    4. Click the "Commit changes" button at the top-right of the screen.
    5. Click the "Propose changes" button on the box that pops up.
    6. Click the "Create pull request" button, and add any additional comments if you'd like.
    7. Click on the "Create pull request" below the comment box.
  5. That's it! You've proposed a new device. Someone will double check the data format and get it in asap.
